Javed Khan, Global Manager, PMO Rockwell Automation

Javed Khan is the Global Manager of the Agile Program Management Office (APMO) for new product innovation and continuation engineering at Rockwell Automation. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Rockwell Automation is the largest company in the world that is dedicated to industrial automation and information. In this role, Javed is accountable for a global program portfolio of over $500 million that comprises complex software, firmware, and hardware projects. Javed leads a team of talented program and project managers that are spread out in five (5) countries including the US, Canada, China, India, and Poland. Javed oversees all aspects of the PMO function including hiring, developing, retention, budgeting, and investment prioritization. Rockwell Automation’s Power Control Business was the first business unit to implement Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Lean Portfolio Management. Javed was on the implementation team and is the de-facto LPM leader responsible for strategic portfolio reviews and portfolio sync operations.

Javed has overall 20 years of experience in engineering and large-scale program management and has delivered tangible results in diverse industries and multiple geographies including the US, Canada, the Middle East, and Asia. Javed holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas, and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering ( B.Eng.) from India. Javed is a certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), a SAFe Lean Portfolio Manager (LPM), and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
