Matt Rissman is SVP; Process Design Consultant II within the Resource Planning and Capacity Management Department of Bank of America's eChannels and Customer Solutions Division located in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he is responsible for common Resource Planning and Capacity Management toolsets. Before assuming his current responsibilities, Rissman held the position of SVP; Senior Service Delivery Manager at the Bank, and was responsible for leading a team of Technical Delivery Project Managers charged with managing projects designed to improve the bankofamerica.com Consumer Web-site. Prior to Bank of America, Rissman held Information Technology roles within Royal Ahold, the most recent of which had responsibility for deploying an internal globally accessible Web Portal designed to support and manage the entire Ahold Retail Operation. Across 15 years,Rissman has led the implementation of major software and process implementations, including the design and implementation of globally deployed Enterprise Messaging systems. Rissman graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics from Furman University.

Polling his managers and finding that everyone was maxed out eventually was not accepted. Truth be told, he had no proactive way to find out what his people were doing. He had summary information, but it lacked granularity about what was going on. “I was cut by both sides of the sword: I couldn’t get support for not doing additional initiatives, and I couldn’t convince executives that we could do important special projects.” He thought about giant spreadsheets, but instead chose a set of processes that won the day.
